Ooh fuck the public prosecutor, time for another cutting-edge presentation. I am happy to announce that I am speaking at Testing & Finance 2012 in London (May 16-17, 2012). This time my topic is "Online Crooks, Governments, Banks, You and me!". Last Testing & Finance my topic was "Industrial Espionage" and it was quite a success.

On May 9, 2011 I will hold a presentation "Industrial Espionage - at its best" at Testing & Finance 2011. You can get a ticket here.
I was just in a nice discussion with politicians about WikiLeaks last Sunday in the TV show "im Zentrum". We were discussing WikiLeaks, its behavior and the impact. If you speak German and you are interested, you can watch the show online here. I removed now all the content from this websites except my articles and papers, it should just represent my work. For those people who do not know - I am a programmer.
Due to private reasons I have to cancel my presentation and training in Hyderabad, India. But I am looking forward to the future, I am researching now in EFI, the firmware follower of the old-fashioned BIOS. I will make my research work about it open and looking forward to writing a proof-of-concept open source "EFI Bootkit". The story is the same with the BIOS, the startup of the computer is unsecured (when not using the TPM), the IA-32 was never designed for security but for general purpose functionality.
I am just at the beginning with my research, but it looks too easy to own. The EFI system partition is a FAT partition, where the EFI applications (= bootloader for the operating system) are stored, as PE executables. It should be easy either replacing, patching or adding my own EFI application there. Windows supports EFI only with 64-bit, so there is also more work and research to do (Stoned was only partly working with 64-bit previously).
